New Commission: Ivory House, St Katharine’s Docks

We’re proud to begin work on a rare and expansive flat in Ivory House — the iconic Grade II listed warehouse at the heart of St Katharine’s Docks. Once the UK’s primary hub for imported ivory, the building’s origins carry a difficult history. Today, that legacy has evolved into something more hopeful: a peaceful waterside community of extraordinary homes, where the architecture tells a layered story.

Our new commission involves a significant flat formed from two combined units — a vast home comprising five bedrooms, four bathrooms, multiple reception rooms, and a private library. The volume and variety of space is unusual for London, and our design approach must carefully balance comfort, clarity, and conservation.
