Jack the Clipper, Brick Lane

Commissioned to design a new space for an established Victorian-themed hairdresser, this project aimed to bridge contrasts by marrying the brand’s nostalgic identity with a contemporary setting in one of London’s most vibrant streets. The concept responds to both the character of the client and the history of Brick Lane itself, referencing the area’s legacy of brickmaking and its layered cultural past. The result is a tactile, atmospheric interior that respects tradition while embracing a confident, modern edge – offering a fresh interpretation of heritage in a distinctly urban context.
