Awarded second place in an international design competition, this ambitious proposal reimagined the historic Lozionica industrial complex as a dynamic, multi-functional civic and innovation hub. The scheme centred on the sensitive refurbishment of a listed industrial structure, pairing its monumental character with a new annexed building designed to house a division of Serbia’s Office for IT. The architectural response struck a balance between preservation and innovation, blending heritage conservation with forward-looking urban strategies to create a cultural and institutional campus suitable for contemporary use. The result was a confident and layered proposal grounded in place, legacy, and future potential.
